1 And He looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury,
Αναβλέψας-δὲ-εῖδεν-τοὺς-βάλλοντας-εις-τὸ-γαζοφυλάκιον-τὰ-δῶρα-αυτῶν-πλουσίους-.-
2 and He saw also a certain poor widow putting in two mites.
εῖδεν-δέ-τινα-χήραν-πενιχρὰν-βάλλουσαν-εκεῖ-λεπτὰ-δύο-,-
3 So He said, “Truly I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all;
καὶ-εῖπεν-,-Αληθῶς-λέγω-υμῖν-ότι-η-χήρα-αύτη-η-πτωχὴ-πλεῖον-πάντων-έβαλεν-·-
4 for all these out of their abundance have put in offerings for God, but she out of her poverty put in all the livelihood that she had.”
πάντες-γὰρ-οῦτοι-εκ-τοῦ-περισσεύοντος-αυτοῖς-έβαλον-εις-τὰ-δῶρα-,-αύτη-δὲ-εκ-τοῦ-υστερήματος-αυτῆς-πάντα-τὸν-βίον-ὸν-εῖχεν-έβαλεν-.-
5 Then, as some spoke of the temple, how it was adorned with beautiful stones and donations, He said,
Καί-τινων-λεγόντων-περὶ-τοῦ-ιεροῦ-,-ότι-λίθοις-καλοῖς-καὶ-αναθήμασιν-κεκόσμηται-,-εῖπεν-,-
6 “These things which you see—the days will come in which not one stone shall be left upon another that shall not be thrown down.”
Ταῦτα-ὰ-θεωρεῖτε-,-ελεύσονται-ημέραι-εν-αῖς-ουκ-αφεθήσεται-λίθος-επὶ-λίθω-ὸς-ου-καταλυθήσεται-.-
7 So they asked Him, saying, “Teacher, but when will these things be? And what sign will there be when these things are about to take place?”
Επηρώτησαν-δὲ-αυτὸν-λέγοντες-,-Διδάσκαλε-,-πότε-οῦν-ταῦτα-έσται-,-καὶ-τί-τὸ-σημεῖον-όταν-μέλλη-ταῦτα-γίνεσθαι-;-
8 And He said: “Take heed that you not be deceived. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He,’ and, ‘The time has drawn near.’ Therefore do not go after them.
ο-δὲ-εῖπεν-,-Βλέπετε-μὴ-πλανηθῆτε-·-πολλοὶ-γὰρ-ελεύσονται-επὶ-τῶ-ονόματί-μου-λέγοντες-,-Εγώ-ειμι-·-καί-,-Ο-καιρὸς-ήγγικεν-·-μὴ-πορευθῆτε-οπίσω-αυτῶν-.-
9 But when you hear of wars and commotions, do not be terrified; for these things must come to pass first, but the end will not come immediately.”
όταν-δὲ-ακούσητε-πολέμους-καὶ-ακαταστασίας-,-μὴ-πτοηθῆτε-·-δεῖ-γὰρ-ταῦτα-γενέσθαι-πρῶτον-,-αλλ᾿-ουκ-ευθέως-τὸ-τέλος-.-
10 Then He said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.
Τότε-έλεγεν-αυτοῖς-,-Εγερθήσεται-έθνος-επ᾿-έθνος-καὶ-βασιλεία-επὶ-βασιλείαν-,-
11 And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven.
σεισμοί-τε-μεγάλοι-καὶ-κατὰ-τόπους-λιμοὶ-καὶ-λοιμοὶ-έσονται-,-φόβητρά-τε-καὶ-απ᾿-ουρανοῦ-σημεῖα-μεγάλα-έσται-.-
12 But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons. You will be brought before kings and rulers for My name’s sake.
πρὸ-δὲ-τούτων-πάντων-επιβαλοῦσιν-εφ᾿-υμᾶς-τὰς-χεῖρας-αυτῶν-καὶ-διώξουσιν-,-παραδιδόντες-εις-τὰς-συναγωγὰς-καὶ-φυλακάς-,-απαγομένους-επὶ-βασιλεῖς-καὶ-ηγεμόνας-ένεκεν-τοῦ-ονόματός-μου-·-
13 But it will turn out for you as an occasion for testimony.
αποβήσεται-υμῖν-εις-μαρτύριον-.-
14 Therefore settle it in your hearts not to meditate beforehand on what you will answer;
θέτε-οῦν-εν-ταῖς-καρδίαις-υμῶν-μὴ-προμελετᾶν-απολογηθῆναι-,-
15 for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist.
εγὼ-γὰρ-δώσω-υμῖν-στόμα-καὶ-σοφίαν-ῆ-ου-δυνήσονται-αντιστῆναι-ὴ-αντειπεῖν-άπαντες-οι-αντικείμενοι-υμῖν-.-
16 You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers, relatives and friends; and they will put some of you to death.
παραδοθήσεσθε-δὲ-καὶ-υπὸ-γονέων-καὶ-αδελφῶν-καὶ-συγγενῶν-καὶ-φίλων-,-καὶ-θανατώσουσιν-εξ-υμῶν-,-
17 And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake.
καὶ-έσεσθε-μισούμενοι-υπὸ-πάντων-διὰ-τὸ-όνομά-μου-.-
18 But not a hair of your head shall be lost.
καὶ-θρὶξ-εκ-τῆς-κεφαλῆς-υμῶν-ου-μὴ-απόληται-.-
19 By your patience possess your souls.
εν-τῆ-υπομονῆ-υμῶν-κτήσασθε-τὰς-ψυχὰς-υμῶν-.-
20 “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near.
Όταν-δὲ-ίδητε-κυκλουμένην-υπὸ-στρατοπέδων-Ιερουσαλήμ-,-τότε-γνῶτε-ότι-ήγγικεν-η-ερήμωσις-αυτῆς-.-
21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her.
τότε-οι-εν-τῆ-Ιουδαία-φευγέτωσαν-εις-τὰ-όρη-,-καὶ-οι-εν-μέσω-αυτῆς-εκχωρείτωσαν-,-καὶ-οι-εν-ταῖς-χώραις-μὴ-εισερχέσθωσαν-εις-αυτήν-,-
22 For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
ότι-ημέραι-εκδικήσεως-αῦταί-εισιν-τοῦ-πλησθῆναι-πάντα-τὰ-γεγραμμένα-.-
23 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people.
ουαὶ-ταῖς-εν-γαστρὶ-εχούσαις-καὶ-ταῖς-θηλαζούσαις-εν-εκείναις-ταῖς-ημέραις-·-έσται-γὰρ-ανάγκη-μεγάλη-επὶ-τῆς-γῆς-καὶ-οργὴ-τῶ-λαῶ-τούτω-,-
24 And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
καὶ-πεσοῦνται-στόματι-μαχαίρης-καὶ-αιχμαλωτισθήσονται-εις-τὰ-έθνη-πάντα-,-καὶ-Ιερουσαλὴμ-έσται-πατουμένη-υπὸ-εθνῶν-,-άχρι-οῦ-πληρωθῶσιν-καιροὶ-εθνῶν-.-
25 “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring;
Καὶ-έσονται-σημεῖα-εν-ηλίω-καὶ-σελήνη-καὶ-άστροις-,-καὶ-επὶ-τῆς-γῆς-συνοχὴ-εθνῶν-εν-απορία-ήχους-θαλάσσης-καὶ-σάλου-,-
26 men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
αποψυχόντων-ανθρώπων-απὸ-φόβου-καὶ-προσδοκίας-τῶν-επερχομένων-τῆ-οικουμένη-,-αι-γὰρ-δυνάμεις-τῶν-ουρανῶν-σαλευθήσονται-.-
27 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
καὶ-τότε-όψονται-τὸν-υιὸν-τοῦ-ανθρώπου-ερχόμενον-εν-νεφέλη-μετὰ-δυνάμεως-καὶ-δόξης-πολλῆς-.-
28 Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”
αρχομένων-δὲ-τούτων-γίνεσθαι-ανακύψατε-καὶ-επάρατε-τὰς-κεφαλὰς-υμῶν-,-διότι-εγγίζει-η-απολύτρωσις-υμῶν-.-
29 Then He spoke to them a parable: “Look at the fig tree, and all the trees.
Καὶ-εῖπεν-παραβολὴν-αυτοῖς-·-Ίδετε-τὴν-συκῆν-καὶ-πάντα-τὰ-δένδρα-·-
30 When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near.
όταν-προβάλωσιν-ήδη-,-βλέποντες-αφ᾿-εαυτῶν-γινώσκετε-ότι-ήδη-εγγὺς-τὸ-θέρος-εστίν-·-
31 So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near.
ούτως-καὶ-υμεῖς-,-όταν-ίδητε-ταῦτα-γινόμενα-,-γινώσκετε-ότι-εγγύς-εστιν-η-βασιλεία-τοῦ-θεοῦ-.-
32 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place.
αμὴν-λέγω-υμῖν-ότι-ου-μὴ-παρέλθη-η-γενεὰ-αύτη-έως-ὰν-πάντα-γένηται-.-
33 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.
ο-ουρανὸς-καὶ-η-γῆ-παρελεύσονται-,-οι-δὲ-λόγοι-μου-ου-μὴ-παρελεύσονται-.-
34 “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly.
Προσέχετε-δὲ-εαυτοῖς-μήποτε-βαρηθῶσιν-υμῶν-αι-καρδίαι-εν-κραιπάλη-καὶ-μέθη-καὶ-μερίμναις-βιωτικαῖς-,-καὶ-επιστῆ-εφ᾿-υμᾶς-αιφνίδιος-η-ημέρα-εκείνη-·-
35 For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth.
ως-παγὶς-γὰρ-επελεύσεται-επὶ-πάντας-τοὺς-καθημένους-επὶ-πρόσωπον-πάσης-τῆς-γῆς-.-
36 Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”
αγρυπνεῖτε-δὲ-εν-παντὶ-καιρῶ-δεόμενοι-ίνα-κατισχύσητε-εκφυγεῖν-ταῦτα-πάντα-τὰ-μέλλοντα-γίνεσθαι-,-καὶ-σταθῆναι-έμπροσθεν-τοῦ-υιοῦ-τοῦ-ανθρώπου-.-
37 And in the daytime He was teaching in the temple, but at night He went out and stayed on the mountain called Olivet.
Η͂ν-δὲ-τὰς-ημέρας-εν-τῶ-ιερῶ-διδάσκων-,-τὰς-δὲ-νύκτας-εξερχόμενος-ηυλίζετο-εις-τὸ-όρος-τὸ-καλούμενον-Ελαιῶν-·-
38 Then early in the morning all the people came to Him in the temple to hear Him.
καὶ-πᾶς-ο-λαὸς-ώρθριζεν-πρὸς-αυτὸν-εν-τῶ-ιερῶ-ακούειν-αυτοῦ-.-
