1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless.
Εγένετο-δὲ-Αβραμ-ετῶν-ενενήκοντα-εννέα-,-καὶ-ώφθη-κύριος-τῶ-Αβραμ-καὶ-εῖπεν-αυτῶ-Εγώ-ειμι-ο-θεός-σου-·-ευαρέστει-εναντίον-εμοῦ-καὶ-γίνου-άμεμπτος-,-
2 And I will make My covenant between Me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly.”
καὶ-θήσομαι-τὴν-διαθήκην-μου-ανὰ-μέσον-εμοῦ-καὶ-ανὰ-μέσον-σοῦ-καὶ-πληθυνῶ-σε-σφόδρα-.-
3 Then Abram fell on his face, and God talked with him, saying:
καὶ-έπεσεν-Αβραμ-επὶ-πρόσωπον-αυτοῦ-,-καὶ-ελάλησεν-αυτῶ-ο-θεὸς-λέγων-
4 “As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations.
Καὶ-εγὼ-ιδοὺ-η-διαθήκη-μου-μετὰ-σοῦ-,-καὶ-έση-πατὴρ-πλήθους-εθνῶν-.-
5 No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations.
καὶ-ου-κληθήσεται-έτι-τὸ-όνομά-σου-Αβραμ-,-αλλ᾿-έσται-τὸ-όνομά-σου-Αβρααμ-,-ότι-πατέρα-πολλῶν-εθνῶν-τέθεικά-σε-.-
6 I will make you exceedingly fruitful; and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come from you.
καὶ-αυξανῶ-σε-σφόδρα-σφόδρα-καὶ-θήσω-σε-εις-έθνη-,-καὶ-βασιλεῖς-εκ-σοῦ-εξελεύσονται-.-
7 And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you.
καὶ-στήσω-τὴν-διαθήκην-μου-ανὰ-μέσον-εμοῦ-καὶ-ανὰ-μέσον-σοῦ-καὶ-ανὰ-μέσον-τοῦ-σπέρματός-σου-μετὰ-σὲ-εις-γενεὰς-αυτῶν-εις-διαθήκην-αιώνιον-εῖναί-σου-θεὸς-καὶ-τοῦ-σπέρματός-σου-μετὰ-σέ-.-
8 Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.”
καὶ-δώσω-σοι-καὶ-τῶ-σπέρματί-σου-μετὰ-σὲ-τὴν-γῆν-,-ὴν-παροικεῖς-,-πᾶσαν-τὴν-γῆν-Χανααν-,-εις-κατάσχεσιν-αιώνιον-καὶ-έσομαι-αυτοῖς-θεός-.--
9 And God said to Abraham: “As for you, you shall keep My covenant, you and your descendants after you throughout their generations.
καὶ-εῖπεν-ο-θεὸς-πρὸς-Αβρααμ-Σὺ-δὲ-τὴν-διαθήκην-μου-διατηρήσεις-,-σὺ-καὶ-τὸ-σπέρμα-σου-μετὰ-σὲ-εις-τὰς-γενεὰς-αυτῶν-.-
10 This is My covenant which you shall keep, between Me and you and your descendants after you: Every male child among you shall be circumcised;
καὶ-αύτη-η-διαθήκη-,-ὴν-διατηρήσεις-,-ανὰ-μέσον-εμοῦ-καὶ-υμῶν-καὶ-ανὰ-μέσον-τοῦ-σπέρματός-σου-μετὰ-σὲ-εις-τὰς-γενεὰς-αυτῶν-·-περιτμηθήσεται-υμῶν-πᾶν-αρσενικόν-,-
11 and you shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskins, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between Me and you.
καὶ-περιτμηθήσεσθε-τὴν-σάρκα-τῆς-ακροβυστίας-υμῶν-,-καὶ-έσται-εν-σημείω-διαθήκης-ανὰ-μέσον-εμοῦ-καὶ-υμῶν-.-
12 He who is eight days old among you shall be circumcised, every male child in your generations, he who is born in your house or bought with money from any foreigner who is not your descendant.
καὶ-παιδίον-οκτὼ-ημερῶν-περιτμηθήσεται-υμῖν-πᾶν-αρσενικὸν-εις-τὰς-γενεὰς-υμῶν-,-ο-οικογενὴς-τῆς-οικίας-σου-καὶ-ο-αργυρώνητος-απὸ-παντὸς-υιοῦ-αλλοτρίου-,-ὸς-ουκ-έστιν-εκ-τοῦ-σπέρματός-σου-.-
13 He who is born in your house and he who is bought with your money must be circumcised, and My covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.
περιτομῆ-περιτμηθήσεται-ο-οικογενὴς-τῆς-οικίας-σου-καὶ-ο-αργυρώνητος-,-καὶ-έσται-η-διαθήκη-μου-επὶ-τῆς-σαρκὸς-υμῶν-εις-διαθήκην-αιώνιον-.-
14 And the uncircumcised male child, who is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin, that person shall be cut off from his people; he has broken My covenant.”
καὶ-απερίτμητος-άρσην-,-ὸς-ου-περιτμηθήσεται-τὴν-σάρκα-τῆς-ακροβυστίας-αυτοῦ-τῆ-ημέρα-τῆ-ογδόη-,-εξολεθρευθήσεται-η-ψυχὴ-εκείνη-εκ-τοῦ-γένους-αυτῆς-,-ότι-τὴν-διαθήκην-μου-διεσκέδασεν-.-
15 Then God said to Abraham, “As for Sarai your wife, you shall not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall be her name.
Εῖπεν-δὲ-ο-θεὸς-τῶ-Αβρααμ-Σαρα-η-γυνή-σου-,-ου-κληθήσεται-τὸ-όνομα-αυτῆς-Σαρα-,-αλλὰ-Σαρρα-έσται-τὸ-όνομα-αυτῆς-.-
16 And I will bless her and also give you a son by her; then I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of peoples shall be from her.”
ευλογήσω-δὲ-αυτὴν-καὶ-δώσω-σοι-εξ-αυτῆς-τέκνον-·-καὶ-ευλογήσω-αυτόν-,-καὶ-έσται-εις-έθνη-,-καὶ-βασιλεῖς-εθνῶν-εξ-αυτοῦ-έσονται-.-
17 Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart, “Shall a child be born to a man who is one hundred years old? And shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child?
καὶ-έπεσεν-Αβρααμ-επὶ-πρόσωπον-καὶ-εγέλασεν-καὶ-εῖπεν-εν-τῆ-διανοία-αυτοῦ-λέγων-Ει-τῶ-εκατονταετεῖ-γενήσεται-,-καὶ-ει-Σαρρα-ενενήκοντα-ετῶν-οῦσα-τέξεται-;-
18 And Abraham said to God, “Oh, that Ishmael might live before You!”
εῖπεν-δὲ-Αβρααμ-πρὸς-τὸν-θεόν-Ισμαηλ-οῦτος-ζήτω-εναντίον-σου-.-
19 Then God said: “No, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his descendants after him.
εῖπεν-δὲ-ο-θεὸς-τῶ-Αβρααμ-Ναί-·-ιδοὺ-Σαρρα-η-γυνή-σου-τέξεταί-σοι-υιόν-,-καὶ-καλέσεις-τὸ-όνομα-αυτοῦ-Ισαακ-,-καὶ-στήσω-τὴν-διαθήκην-μου-πρὸς-αυτὸν-εις-διαθήκην-αιώνιον-καὶ-τῶ-σπέρματι-αυτοῦ-μετ᾿-αυτόν-.-
20 And as for Ishmael, I have heard you. Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly. He shall beget twelve princes, and I will make him a great nation.
περὶ-δὲ-Ισμαηλ-ιδοὺ-επήκουσά-σου-·-ιδοὺ-ευλόγησα-αυτὸν-καὶ-αυξανῶ-αυτὸν-καὶ-πληθυνῶ-αυτὸν-σφόδρα-·-δώδεκα-έθνη-γεννήσει-,-καὶ-δώσω-αυτὸν-εις-έθνος-μέγα-.-
21 But My covenant I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear to you at this set time next year.”
τὴν-δὲ-διαθήκην-μου-στήσω-πρὸς-Ισαακ-,-ὸν-τέξεταί-σοι-Σαρρα-εις-τὸν-καιρὸν-τοῦτον-εν-τῶ-ενιαυτῶ-τῶ-ετέρω-.-
22 Then He finished talking with him, and God went up from Abraham.
συνετέλεσεν-δὲ-λαλῶν-πρὸς-αυτὸν-καὶ-ανέβη-ο-θεὸς-απὸ-Αβρααμ-.-
23 So Abraham took Ishmael his son, all who were born in his house and all who were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham’s house, and circumcised the flesh of their foreskins that very same day, as God had said to him.
Καὶ-έλαβεν-Αβρααμ-Ισμαηλ-τὸν-υιὸν-αυτοῦ-καὶ-πάντας-τοὺς-οικογενεῖς-αυτοῦ-καὶ-πάντας-τοὺς-αργυρωνήτους-καὶ-πᾶν-άρσεν-τῶν-ανδρῶν-τῶν-εν-τῶ-οίκω-Αβρααμ-καὶ-περιέτεμεν-τὰς-ακροβυστίας-αυτῶν-εν-τῶ-καιρῶ-τῆς-ημέρας-εκείνης-,-καθὰ-ελάλησεν-αυτῶ-ο-θεός-.-
24 Abraham was ninety-nine years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.
Αβρααμ-δὲ-ῆν-ενενήκοντα-εννέα-ετῶν-,-ηνίκα-περιέτεμεν-τὴν-σάρκα-τῆς-ακροβυστίας-αυτοῦ-·-
25 And Ishmael his son was thirteen years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.
Ισμαηλ-δὲ-ο-υιὸς-αυτοῦ-ετῶν-δέκα-τριῶν-ῆν-,-ηνίκα-περιετμήθη-τὴν-σάρκα-τῆς-ακροβυστίας-αυτοῦ-.-
26 That very same day Abraham was circumcised, and his son Ishmael;
εν-τῶ-καιρῶ-τῆς-ημέρας-εκείνης-περιετμήθη-Αβρααμ-καὶ-Ισμαηλ-ο-υιὸς-αυτοῦ-·-
27 and all the men of his house, born in the house or bought with money from a foreigner, were circumcised with him.
καὶ-πάντες-οι-άνδρες-τοῦ-οίκου-αυτοῦ-καὶ-οι-οικογενεῖς-καὶ-οι-αργυρώνητοι-εξ-αλλογενῶν-εθνῶν-,-περιέτεμεν-αυτούς-.-
