God is the Source of Good, Not of Evil
“No one, when tempted, should say, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil and he himself tempts no one. <...> Every generous act of giving, with every perfect gift, is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change” (James. 1:13,17)
“This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light and in him there is no darkness at all” (1 John. 1:5)
“So He said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”” (Matt. 19:17; see also Mark 10:18; Luke 18:19)
“The LORD is good to all, and his compassion is over all that he has made” (Ps. 145:9 — 144:9 in the Greek/Septuagint numbering)
Sinless
“You know that he was revealed to take away sins, and in him there is no sin” (1 John. 3:5)
“Everyone who commits sin is guilty of lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. <...> Everyone who commits sin is a child of the devil; for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The Son of God was revealed for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil. Those who have been born of God do not sin, because God’s seed abides in them; they cannot sin, because they have been born of God” (1 John. 3:4,8-9)
God is Love
“Whoever does not love does not know God, for God is love” (1 John. 4:8)
“So we have known and believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them” (1 John. 4:16)
God Desires All to Be Saved
“First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for everyone, <...> This is right and is acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth” (1 Tim. 2:1,3-4)
“The Lord is not slow about his promise, as some think of slowness, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish, but all to come to repentance” (2 Pet. 3:9)
“Say to them, As I live, says the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from their ways and live; turn back, turn back from your evil ways; for why will you die, O house of Israel?” (Ezek. 33:11)
“Do I have any pleasure at all that the wicked should die?” says the Lord GOD, “and not that he should turn from his ways and live?” (Ezek. 18:23)
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John. 3:16)
“for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”” (Luke. 19:10)
However, not all will be saved
““Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able” (Luke. 13:24)
