Ananias Lied to the Holy Spirit, to God
““Ananias,” Peter asked, “why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back part of the proceeds of the land? While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, were not the proceeds at your disposal? How is it that you have contrived this deed in your heart? You did not lie to us but to God!”” (Act. 5:3-4)
God Spoke Through the Prophets
“Long ago God spoke to our ancestors in many and various ways by the prophets” (Heb. 1:1)
“Paul, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated to the gospel of God which He promised before through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures” (Rom. 1:1-2)
“In this way God fulfilled what he had foretold through all the prophets, that his Messiah would suffer. <...> who must remain in heaven until the time of universal restoration that God announced long ago through his holy prophets” (Act. 3:18,21)
It Was the Holy Spirit Who Spoke Through the Prophets
“So they disagreed with each other; and as they were leaving, Paul made one further statement: “The Holy Spirit was right in saying to your ancestors through the prophet Isaiah, ‘Go to this people and say, You will indeed listen, but never understand, and you will indeed look, but never perceive” (Act. 28:25-26)
